DARUMA, inspired by real izakaya in Japan. Drinking culture is an important activity in Japan for creating a sense of togetherness and honesty with friends and coworkers. With that inspiration, we created a casual hangout spot for after-work socializing, drinking, and a menu for sharing.
Our menu includes robata dishes from our binchō-tan grill as well as small bites commonly found in Japanese izakaya. Our speciality is A5 wagyū beef from Japan’s Shiga, Gifu and Miyazaki prefecture. The type of wagyū is subject to season and availability, currently we are serving A5 Miyazaki-gyū. Other specialities you will expect to find on our menu would be: full fresh premium blue fin tuna, hamachi and Irish organic salmon. So what makes our sushi different? All our fish go through a Japanese traditional dry aging process to remove impurities to guarantee exceptional flavour and taste. All our fish are sustainably sourced from highly reputable local suppliers.
While food is important, we also value our beverages. To accompany food, we offer a selection of Japanese shōchū, sake-based craft cocktails, wine, beer and premium sake carefully selected by our two in house kikisake-shi (sake sommelier). We here at DARUMA highly recommend our Japanese taste!
